The search for a safe space begins within us.
I'm Emu Aragon (he/him), a Queer, Latino, first-generation, bilingual, licensed professional counselor - mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) and approved clinical supervisor (ACS; master's students), offering virtual therapy across Tennessee. With seven years of experience, I support individuals, couples, and people in ethically non-monogamous relationships who are navigating the complex terrain of identity, connection, and healing.
Clients find me feeling disconnected - from their true selves, from those they care about, and/or from a sense of personal meaning in the world. These ruptures often stem from lived experiences that have shaped how they see themselves and move through life. As a fellow traveler and wounded healer, I hold space with deep care and humility, believing in the power of the therapeutic relationship to restore what has been lost or fractured.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, relational care that honors your unique values, cultural identity, and lived experience. I am especially passionate about working with folx from the margins - People of Color, Queer and Transgender persons, neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism), and those in consensual non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships.
I integrate evidence-based approaches into your care such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), while striving to honor the cultural and innate wisdom you carry.
Wherever you are on your journey, know that it's okay to be there. Allow me to walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and care.
